Boston Association of Cabaret Artists

2012 Annual Cabaret Fest Application
DEADLINE: Monday, January 16, 2012.

Please go to our FAQs page for more detailed information.

PLACE:
The beautiful Hawkins Performance Hall at
Springstep
98 George P. Hassett Drive
Medford, MA 02155

DATES and TIME:
Friday, March 30, 7:30-9:30pm
Saturday, March 31, 6:00-8:00pm and 8:30-10:30pm
Sunday, April 1, 2:00pm-4:00pm and 4:30-6:30pm

FESTIVAL GOALS:
To expand the appreciation of cabaret to those outside our BACA community with quality entertainment in which the BACA membership has an opportunity to express their creativity on a professional stage in front of a live audience.

RESERVATION FEE:
$100 for a 20-minute performance slot.
If you sell a minimum of 10 tickets, you qualify for a reimbursement.
The purpose of this fee is to be sure that we can cover BACA's expenses for the event: venue rental, professional pianists, publicity and more. We look forward to redeeming your fee pending your sale of 10 tickets and our net profit.

If we do not fill all our performance slots, there is the possibility of expanding some performance times (with a prorated fee), but we cannot guarantee this. Please email the BACA Events Committee and fill out the form below if you want to be considered for an extended performance slot if one becomes available.

CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION:
You must be a current BACA member. We invite all members to apply, but if we are unfamiliar with your current work, we will be in touch with you and request that you sing at BACA's Open Mic on January 20, 2012, 7:30pm, at Springstep. If you are unable to attend, we will try to work something out.

PLACEMENT AND PARTICIPATION:
If we have a greater than expected response, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate everyone who sends in an application, but we will do our best; thus, it is important to complete your application by the deadline. Once all applications are received, the board will make these determinations. Please understand that all decisions concerning applications will be made at the discretion of the BACA Board.

TICKET PRICE:
$15.00

BUYING TICKETS:
Tickets will be sold on the BACA web site through PayPal. It will be set up so that your fans can enter your name at the time of their purchase and BACA will be able to track your sales in order to credit you.

Anyone who cannot be placed in the Fest will be fully refunded.
